Spotlight Stitch: Knit Honeycomb

Thanks for the love @Yarnspirations! This project turned out to be a #WIP that I haven't yet finished so I decided to turn this into a #SpotlightStitch in the meantime! This is a 16 row repeat where you switch between working stitches in front and back of a cable needle. It takes a bit of getting used to if you haven't worked with a #cableneedle before but it works up quickly once you get the hand of it, promise. Check it out below!

Pattern Notes:

This pattern is worked up in multiples of 4 stitches with a minimum of 8 if you are testing a swatch). I recommend adding a boarder around the bottom and sides to prevent curling. See picture below.

Materials:

  • Bernat Wavelength in Amber

  • Size 6.5mm knitting needles

  • Cable needle

Abbreviations:

K = Knit P = Purl

Rep: Repeat P2tog = Purl next 2 stitches together

C4B = Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle. C4F = Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at front of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle.
