Here is a great project for you and the kiddos! Grab your pom maker and some squishy yarn and work these fun little guys up!

Here’s how you do it!

Materials:

Measurements:

Approx. 4in wide by 8in tall.

Gauge:

Crochet Gauge: 8 sc and 9 rows with a 8 mm (U.S. L/11) crochet hook

Abbreviations:

Ch = Chain(s)

Cont = Continue

Dc = Double crochet

Sc = Single crochet

Hdc = Half double crochet

Sl st = Slip stitch

St(s) = Stitch(es)

Poms (as Bunny Tail):

With natural, work up a pom

You could also work these up by hand if you dont have a tool.

Ear Pattern:

Ears: Make 2 of each colour

With Natural: ch 10

Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 st, HDC in next 3 sts, DC in next 2 sts, 5 DC in the last st (wrapping around to other side). Continuing on the back of the chain, DC in next 2 sts, HDC in next 3 sts, SC to end. Bind off.

With Baby Pink: Ch 9

Row 1: SlSt in 2nd ch from hook, slst in next 2 ch, sc in next 3 ch, hdc in next hc, 5 hdc in last ch (wrapping around to the other side). Continuing on back of the chain, HDC, sc in next 3 ch, slst to end. Bind off with a long tail to sew to Natural point of the ear.

Assembly:

With front side facing, sew Baby Pink ear snugly inside the larger Natural ear. Repeat with 2nd ear.

Attach ears to the pom by securing it through the centre of the pom, attached to the loop holding the pom together. See picture below:
